Hello, I’m Indi

Maria Acosta Hernandez or in short Indi and I am a cuban freelance artist based in Germany with over 20 years of experience in drawing and painting. 
I’ve been a full time artist for 7 years now. 

My work encompasses a variety of mediums and themes, including oil painting, digital art, book illustration, and dark art. 
I invite you to explore each category in my portfolio, there’s something for every taste.

Fine art:
My art reflects me in many ways and as I am versetile I enjoy creating different collections or working on different project's!
I like to use fine art to have space to express myself, to explore emotional themes or to create my own worlds and to connect to others.

Exhebitions so far: I’m rather shy in real life but I still joined some shows this year!  

Group exhibition themed on giving hope to people suffering from depression as part of the ‘‘Mut Mach Wochen 2025 in Siegen Olpe ‘‘Inkulsion exklusiv kreativ.’’
I was In Eduard Rangnau’s Gallery  two weeks for a solo show. - 2025Group Exhibition for the ‘‘Kunstag Siegen’’, Unwesen hosted via Pollypixelt / Ina Preuß &  Anneweberart /Anne Weber. 
I also contributed to the ``Women Art union Herta´´ with more than 20 artist from 20+ countries.
I’ve also been part of several art Books such as ‘ The Mystic Glade’ and ‘Human Artbook’. 
I’ve also got featured in Imaginefx magazine an more.

My professional expirience in Illustration work:

For the past six years, I have worked  professionally for several publishers, Indi authors, for a school and private clients contributing to a wide array of projects. Furhermore I hold a bachelor’s degree in Game Art and education in media Design.
While my primary focus lies in Book Illustration including fantasy and dark themed art, I am always open to exploring new creative challenges across various genres.

Education and further expirince:

Finished education in - Technical Assistant in Design/Media done at Berufskolleg Technik Siegen.
I have a Bachelors of Arts done at the cologne game lab.
 Teaching art as a lecturer for character design at the school of games in 2019-2020.
